About Auli Gorson Bugyal Trek

Gorson Bugyal Trek is one of the easiest treks in the Himalayas starting from Auli if you are taking new steps in the world of adventure then without second thoughts go for it. Pass through these exciting and picturesque trekking trails in Garhwal, it takes you through the thick alpines forests and undulating meadows ‘Buygal’. Gorson Bugyal Trek A short trek but very spectacular, it starts from Bugyal Auli and is spread over about 5 kms. In this trek, small lakes and beautiful forests spread all around, where the mind enjoys a lot. Gorson Bugyal trek comes to Chamoli district and its altitude is 3050 m. but from 2018 camping can’t be done here, You can go here only for trek.

Day 1: Rishikesh - Joshimath (245kms/8hr)

Today, we will have an early morning breakfast in the hotel and afterwards, leave by road for Joshimath via Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Karnprayag. On arrival, check in at the pre-booked hotel. The evening is free for your own leisure activities. During your free time, you can visit the local markets or explore the scenic beauty of the place. Later, return back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Joshimath - Auli (By Ropeway)

After breakfast in the morning, today we will transfer you to Auli by Ropeway which will be exciting and adventurous. Joshimath - Auli ropeway is India's highest and longest ropeway that covers a distance of about 3.96 km. You can capture endless stunning views of the beautiful Himalayan mountains like Doonagiri (2,400 meters), Gori Parbat (6,708 meters), Mt. Nanda Devi (7,816 meters), Nar Parvat (5855 meters), Neelkanth (6,596 meters), Bithartoli, Hathi Parbat, and Kamet. On arrival, check in your already booked hotel in Auli and enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Day 3 & Day 4: Auli

The next two days are fixed for exploring the beautiful Auli, one of the famous tourist spots of India and having an ultimate trekking experience. We will start our day quite early and finish our breakfast quickly to proceed for our first trekking experience. We will trek uphill till Bugyal located at a height ranging from 2591 meters to 3049 meters. From here, once can witness the complete range of Himalayan's peaks. Later, we will head back to our hotel. The evening is free at leisure. During your free time, you can either rest in your hotel and take pleasure of its morning activities or walk out to explore the place and its hidden beauty. An overnight stay in the hotel in Auli.

Day 5: Auli - Rishikesh (245 Kms/8hr)

In the morning after breakfast, we will board on a journey to Joshimath via ropeway. On reaching, we will drive straight to Rishikesh, which is about 8 hour long journey. Later on reaching Rishikesh, check in the hotel and have a relaxing overnight stay.

How to Reach Auli Kuari Pass Trek

At first you have to reach Rishikesh, after that we will take care of your further travel plan.

Options to reach Rishikesh:

1. Take overnight train/bus to Rishikesh.

2. Take overnight train/bus to Haridwar and drive to Rishikesh (35 min drive with normal traffic).

3. Take the flight to Dehradun airport (Jolly Grant Airport) and drive to Rishikesh (20 km, 30 min), if coming by flight then come one day early.

Weather in mountains is completely unpredictable and hence one must remain prepared for all of its kind. Usually, nights are cold in comparison to days and hence travelers are suggested to take their extra warm clothes with them. Also, it depends on seasons too.

It totally depends upon the kind of place you are at. In the intensely remote areas, you may not find networks or interrupted networks but in most of the areas, networks are available.
